Can I use WLAN card with some other chipset rather than rt2561?

You can use other MiniPCI/USB WLAN cards provided you find the appropriate driver. Please note that for some WLAN cards the driver is not enough, you will also have to provide firmware files and put them into /lib/firmware directory.
