USB to Serial

ID #1052

With USB-COM the mouse cursor erratically jumps around the screen.

The device connected to the serial port sends data without special request. When Windows recognizes the serial port, such data may be misinterpreted as a serial mouse attached to that port.

Open the Device Manager, and open the Properties of the Com Port. In "Port Settings" click the 'Advanced...' button. Then uncheck the option 'Serial Enumerator'. Now Windows will no longer attempt to recognize devices at this port.
